Ankara is the city where the most legitimate question about heat pumps is asked: does this unit really hold up in our winter?
There is such a thing as a cold-climate unit
In Ankara projects, a low-temperature series unit with an EVI (vapor-injected) compressor is selected. The bivalent point — the temperature at which the home's heat demand intersects with the unit's capacity — is deliberately chosen; for the rare hours below it, a backup stage is planned from the outset.
The place of the heat pump in a natural-gas city
In a well-insulated home with a low-temperature system, a heat pump is a strong alternative; in an older, uninsulated building, a system calculation is done first. In countryside/cottage areas not reached by natural gas, the heat pump is already unrivaled.
The small bonus of dry cold
Ankara's dry air means less frequent defrost cycles compared to humid coastal winters; the unit spends less of its energy on melting ice.

Ankara için merak edilenler
Does the house get cold at −15°C?+
Not with the right design: an EVI unit + a deliberately chosen bivalent point + a backup stage carry it through even the coldest night.
Is it worth switching when I already have natural gas?+
It depends on the home's insulation; during the site survey, the annual cost of both scenarios is provided with figures.
Will my radiators work?+
In most Ankara homes, the calculation result is yes.
What happens to the outdoor unit in snow and frost?+
It's mounted on a base/plinth; freeze protection is standard.
